Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The Technology is an integrated security program composed of physical and electronic security measures, policies and procedures, and personnel, designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism for use exclusively at Met Life Stadium, inclusive of the Stadium and parking lots, during National Football League (“NFL”) Game Days, Non-Game Days, and Special Events.
National Football League Approved: November 14, 2013 \| Expires: November 30, 2018 The National Football League provides National Football League (“NFL”) Best Practices for Stadium Security (the “Technology”). The Technology is a set of guidelines for football stadium security management designed to deter and defend against terrorist attacks at sports stadiums. It includes standards for non-game day operations, game day operations, and threat assessments and emergency plans. The Technology also includes the NFL’s Stadium Security Evaluation and Compliance Program, the hiring, vetting, qualifications, and training of the personnel used to provide the programs and services. The Technology does not include each NFL club’s or stadium owner’s or operator’s implementation of the Technology.
