Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

The panels are designed to capture fragments and resist blast overpressure and may be fastened to existing walls, ceilings, floors, or others surfaces.
Raytheon Company : Criminal Information Sharing Services Approved: February 13, 2008 \| Expires: March 31, 2013 Raytheon Company provides Criminal Information Sharing Services. The Technology is a set of systems engineering and integration services that are used to aid the creation of a secure network system that enables law enforcement agencies to share cross jurisdictional information to provide assistance in the prevention or investigation of Acts of Terrorism.
Michael Stapleton Associates, LTD: SmartTech Chem System Approved: February 07, 2008 \| Expires: February 28, 2013 Michael Stapleton Associates, LTD provide the SmartTech Chem System. The Technology consists of processes for the installation and remote monitoring of the CW Sentry 3G, a chemical sensor. These processes include: pre-engineering assessment of the facility, installation of the chemical sensors, remote monitoring of the chemical sensors, and several associated services.

The Technology consists of trained personnel who perform checkpoint screening of passengers, carry-on bags, and checked baggage at airports to prevent the smuggling of explosives, weapons, and other forbidden materials. The services are part of the Screening Partnership Program and use Transportation Security Administration approved standard operating procedures.
